The Substack POWER HOUR
Sometimes you don't need another course...you just need one focused hour to brainstorm, troubleshoot and untangle. Grab a Substack Power Hour and let's knock a few things off your list.
Substack rolled out a brand new feature (again!!!) and I have been summoned by Shelby Tutty, MHA to demonstrate its use.
The problem is….I haven’t used it yet and can’t foresee ever having a use for it (right now, at least). To be totally honest, I’m having a heck of a time keeping up with all these new Substack feature roll-outs. 😬
Which brings us to one very important point: DO NOT feel left behind in the dust just because you’re not utilizing or don’t see a way to utilize particular Substack features. Our journeys are our own…just because it’s offered doesn’t mean we have to use it.
Now, back to the new feature….
If I understand the “audience-specific content” feature correctly, it lets you select a portion of your post and designate it for a specific audience, without paywalling the entire post.
I can’t imagine how this would apply to my content or how I would use it, because my posts are either paywalled or free. There is no in between or “one little piece of paid content” within my posts.
Since we call this a community, I’m turning this one over to you all.
Has anyone used this feature yet?
If so, I am inviting you to share your opinions, thoughts, and use cases in the comments below. Also, feel free to direct us to one of your posts where you are using it so we can see how.
In the meantime, here is a link to Substack’s documentation on the feature.
If you’d rather kick it old school and learn a tried-and-true Substack feature with a clear purpose, our next workshop is coming up next week, on July 25th, and we will be covering TAGS vs SECTIONS!
Here’s how to make sure you’re not missing out on our monthly workshops:
