Hello! We begin this week with a long-awaited debate within global Anglicanism about some fairly mild reforms to try and stave off schism. But, suffice to say, they didn’t exactly grasp the nettle on this one.
Then we figure out why progressives in the Church of England are angry about, of all things, an early morning fringe event at the General Synod, and how the archbishops got dragged into yet another row allegedly involving safeguarding as well as our other perennial hot button issue: sexuality.
There’s also our latest podcast (Is the coming solar power revolution a blessing from God?) and a list of links to interesting church news stories from around the web, including missionaries in virtual reality cyberspace, the first ever mudlarker-in-residence at a cathedral, and what one church about to shut down because of money worries found hidden under its altar.
