Dear Ones,
I’m 15 days into this year’s 100 Day Project, which is a beautiful collective of folks from around the world choosing a creative project, doing it every single day for 100 days, and documenting/sharing their process online.
Here’s what I’m noticing so far:
I had set out to use an engraver pen on small wood rounds, but a last minute purchase of a wood burner (as suggested by my fella) flipped the script entirely. I’ve not once used the pen but have found unexpected pleasure in the smell, sound, results of wood burning. I thought perhaps I’d flow back and forth to my original plan but now? Nah. I think this is it for the next 85.
My jr. associates are locked in, especially my daughter, and this has brought an immense amount of joy, play & connection to this endeavor. And, while it’s true I am delighted by their interest and participation, I realized around day 10 when they went to their dad’s house for a few days that this creative medium felt safer to attempt with my kids; that …
