The premiere episode of Survivor 50 was a doozy last week. Three hours and a lot to take in. It possibly had the best intro of any season I’d ever seen. Plus, it really gave fans a lot of time back with the returning players, which really made the episode as a whole fun to watch.
Now, if you haven’t watched either episode, and you don’t want to be spoiled before listening to me ramble, here is your warning.
I did not cover the first episode of Survivor 50. The following days after were busy, so that evening would be the best time to cover it, if I was going to. However, it was late, so I was very tired and very bummed by Kyle’s departure. When I initially talked about the cast, I didn’t think Kyle would be in a good spot because he won Survivor 48. He was also there with his “ride or die,” Kamilla, but it really seemed like he was able to fit in and find himself in a good position.
I thought Jenna and Savannah would be okay. Uh, sure, I was “spot on” with that. Clearly, I was way off base and wrong about that with them being the first two boots of the season. I still think it would’ve been amazing to see Savannah and Dee go head-to-head during the individual immunity challenges later in the season.
