A Kennedy Center by Any Other Name

I have to give credit where credit is due. Donald Trump manufactures ways on a daily basis to infuriate us, insult our intelligence and, as an extra bonus, make a mockery of the demands and dictates of his post. So here we go again, with his latest end around regarding the court’s earlier ruling on the clear legal mandates regarding the name to be attached to the Kennedy Center.

The level of sycophancy in the announcement accompanying the Board’s determination was a work of virtually unparalleled suckupedness. It noted Mr. Trump’s “existential and unprecedented contributions to the survival of the Center”. Last I checked our President had only been responsible for the absolute decimation of the Center’s programming, coupled with the illegal insertion of his name on the building’s exterior. The restoration? Invisible. Rather, he has deftly managed to turn one of the nation’s most venerable institutions into yet another Hellhole. You say potato I say Dan Quayle.

Everything Mr. Trump touches turns into a gold plated nightmare. And so it is once more as he and his partners in crime continue to defy law and logic. Our continuing task is to remain vigilant and never allow this charade to become the accepted American way.
