Hey, it’s Thig from Thigville. I’m pumping the brakes on the newsletter, my time has become limited and can’t keep the pace I’ve been doing (which is around 200mph, a character flaw, but a fun one!).
I’m shifting from satire news to a simpler format…portraits of people I create, paired with a small piece of trivia about a tiny town I find. Less writing, more art, for a while.
When I started Thigville 1.5 years ago, my goal was “draw consistently and try writing.” I’ve done both. Writing, I like it, but it’s taxing because it’s a newer skill for me. I’ve also finally learned a few art techniques I’d been putting off for years. Thigville’s goal hit its mark. Now I’m shifting gears (I know, I KNOW I’m a moving target).
So as to not leave like a ghost like on November 1st, I’m sharing a whole bunch of spooky art I did throughout October.
Thanks to everyone who’s read along (yes, all 2.3 of you). I’ll post updates throughout the month on Instagram and Facebook if you want to follow (and as always, I’ll be making updates at Thigville.com). See you when you’re carving turkey and arguing politics with your racist uncle Raiferd. Until that time, enjoy what I enjoy doing the most, drawing!
Side note: In 2025 there’s virtually no way to stop anyone from stealing my art, training it for ai or reselling my work. So my only request is that you at least be sweet and tell me you used my work for your profile, digital wallpaper or are legit, a millionaire off my work (I would be so impressed that my work actually sold these days!). That said, please don’t steal my work???
