Svanninge Bakker ⛰️🌿
If you’ve never been, this place is seriously worth the drive. Svanninge Bakker is one of those rare places in Denmark where you’ll find real hills. This will get your heart going and your legs warmed up.
When we parked the car, it did not look like much; it was just a regular forest. But then we started following the red route toward the tower, and then suddenly, we were at the lookout with stunning views!
We loved this place because it’s a great spot for free exploration. You can choose your trail (there are plenty of marked routes, I leave a link below) or just follow the paths and see where you end up. There are beautiful viewpoints, lush forests, and open meadows with cute sheep and goats grazing everywhere.
It’s also a mix of vegetation and terrain—one moment, you’re walking through a heather-covered hill, and the next, you’re in a quiet forest.
We recommend packing a picnic basket and taking a long lunch break on one of the benches or grassy slopes.
Okay, hear me out: chewy dates, crunchy pretzels, and creamy nut butter equal little bites of delicious magic. These Pretzel Stuffed Dates are a great snack for hikes, picnics, or a quick afternoon treat.
