The last leg of our Pitts-chigan trip was to go to the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. We went there for three reasons: 1.) to visit the area that was at one time the home of four of the major Christian publishers: Eerdmans, Zondervan, Kregel and Baker; 2.) to check out the store that is owned by one of those four major publishers, Baker, especially since they sell used books; and 3.) to visit one of the beaches on Lake Michigan, because My Love loves the beach!
The Baker Book House used bookstore was fantastic! It was a treasure trove of Christian books, and I purchased quite a few, while My Love waited in a comfortable lounging area. (She’s not really into used books, but tolerates my “interest” with patience.)
We completed our visit to the Grand Rapids area with a visit to a beach on Lake Michigan. Now that’s one of My Love’s interests!
