Welcome back to The Video Game Library Newsletter!

Back-to-back newsletters kicking things off with Final Fantasy VII? A new Spanish games magazine with a preservation section? A Dragon Quest picture book for toddlers? A video game history book so big it needs 2 volumes!? We’ve been spoiled this week, and I’ve got the full roundup ready for you for every Video Game Book release from across the globe.

Then heading into Behind the Shelves, I’ve been playing Lunar with the Cartridge Club, which naturally sent me down a rabbit hole trying to figure out just how many Lunar books are out there. Hint: There’s a LOT!

The volunteers have also been busy with Futabasha strategy guides, BradyGames guides, MegaMan NT Warrior manga, and the long-requested start of cataloguing the UK’s Sonic the Comic. As usual, there’s always more hiding in the backlog.

And this week’s Book Spotlight is a fun one: Super Rare Games: #01–#150 - A Collector’s Artbook. Sent over by Super Rare Games, it’s a beautiful celebration of their first 150 physical Switch releases.

Remember, if this newsletter has become part of your weekly routine, please consider supporting it with a paid subscription. Every issue takes hours of research, cataloguing, and digging through releases from around the world. Your support helps keep The Video Game Library free, ad-free, independent, and focused on what matters most: preserving and celebrating human-created books about video games.

So without further ado, let’s dive in!
