I’m excited to introduce a brand-new feature for paid subscribers: Immersion Series (Audio).
This series will run alongside our regular Immersion Series (Book). Nothing is changing there. We’ll continue our in-depth book discussions while adding a completely new way to experience romantasy together through audio.
Unlike a traditional audiobook, GraphicAudio is a fully immersive production, featuring a full cast of voice actors, cinematic music, and sound effects that bring every scene to life. You’ll listen on your own, and then we’ll come together to examine how the performance shapes the story. We’ll compare it to the reading experience, discuss the characters and emotional beats, and explore how narration, pacing, atmosphere, and performance influence the way we experience the world of Lunathion.
Across five installments, we’ll explore:
Character performances and voice acting
Music and sound design
Emotional moments that hit differently in audio
World-building through performance
The scenes, relationships, and details that stand out when the story is heard instead of read
While we’re launching with a GraphicAudio production, Immersion Series (Audio) isn’t limited to one format. Future installments may feature traditional audiobooks, GraphicAudio, or other immersive audio experiences, depending on the book and what best enhances the discussion.
✨ To participate, you’ll need to purchase the GraphicAudio edition of House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas so we’re all listening to the same production. The adaptation is divided into two releases, so you’ll need both Part 1 and Part 2.
We’re starting right away, with our first discussion going live this Friday, July 17th. If you’d like to follow along from the beginning, now’s the perfect time to grab your copy and start listening.
This is an exclusive feature for paid subscribers, and I can’t wait to experience Crescent City in a whole new way with you.
🎧 You listen. We immerse ourselves. Together.
