We’re back with another installment of The Pleasure Lists: Pleasures, Curated.
I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I enjoy getting to know members of the Pleasure Lists community and what makes their Pleasures tick.

Going to the ballet alone - I grew up very serious about ballet and then for years after I quit I found it very depressing to watch or even hear the music. It was quite painful to me. But for the past few years I’ve gone back to class and also love going to performances alone. I see both American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet. My favorite ballerinas are Chloe Misseldine and India Bradley.
Flowers in my home - I worked at a florist all through high school and my house feels undone without flowers in a few specific places. I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life but I buy and arrange flowers on a weekly basis.
Tompkins Square Park - I’ve lived in NY for 26 years and the East Village for 24 of them. Tompkins is just a major part of my life whether it’s to sit and meet friends, cut through on the way to someplace further east, work out on the calisthenics bars. I’d be lost without that park.
