DANGER: Trump Has Officially Brought Back Slavery to the United States

Slavery consisted of kidnapping, torturing, and mentally and physically abusing people.

The videos we have of the people in the El Salvadorian prison camp are not the end of this exploitation of these people.

This video shows US migrants being abused by the El Salvadorian Government.

Slavery in the United States started in 1619 to exploit purposefully displaced people for labor in the hopes of economic growth. This was before we were established as the United States of America, meaning our country was not only built off of slavery but built around exploiting a group of people.

People falsely stated that Black people were inferior, stupid, and tools. Slave owners used them to plant, pick, and satisfy their sadistic desires. It is often known that slaves were whipped and hung but forget to mention that they were raped, bred, castrated, tortured, and more. By kidnapping Africans from their home and culture, the colonizers tore away their sense of self. They chained them up in crowded, dark, and damp places, brought them to plantations, and forced them to perform tasks around the open-air prison. Plantation owners forced their slaves to be illiterate -- they withheld education. Suppose they were seen as disobedient in any way they would be tortured or killed.

This abuse made them obedient. This abuse made the slaves lose their sense of humanity and independence.

Today, we see that the poor are being exploited as a whole, but minorities are even more likely to be exploited for the hard work that they exhibit. The general population is not being informed about the severity of these deportations, you only know about it because you are looking for that information.

So, let’s talk about the slavery that the President of El Salvador is getting paid for.

One difference is that the plantation owner is being paid to torture and abuse these people rather than paying for it. The United States is paying $6 million to El Salvador to take illegally deported people labeled as “Venezuelan gang members”, “murders”, and “terrorists”. As seen in the video people are forcefully being shaved a method of abuse to express that a person does not have power over their own body. Migrants are forced to look down from a hand on their neck or pulling their hair. By walking them fast and aggressively it worsens their confusion and disorientation. Although we have not seen explicit video proof, we know that these migrants are experiencing “systematic physical beatings, torture, intentional denial of access to food, water, clothing, health care” and possibly some have died. The video’s purpose is to scare the public into obeying the administrations every whim. We cannot let them scare us.

It’s not happening to United States citizens, yet. Trump is already violating human rights, federal laws, and judicial orders with these migrants. In fact, Donald Trump was caught on a hot mic discussing with Nayib Bukele that he needs to build “5 more” mega-prisons because he doesn’t have enough room in just one prison for all the people he wants to deport. Trump continued to state that “homegrown criminals are next” suggesting that there will be US citizens deported at his whim.

He does not mean criminals and I understand that he said criminals, but we can comprehend that Donald Trump does not have an accurate definition of criminals. His idea of a criminal is known, he stated on January 30th that he would deport “Hamas-Sympathizers” which means pro-Palestine. His idea of a criminal is anyone who disagrees with his agenda.

It starts with targeting “illegal” migrants who “threaten” our economy and our values. It will turn into targeting the people who threaten the blatantly harmful policies.

The people need to peacefully protest, demand, and resist this usurping of the Government.

It is time to speak out, fight, and change the country or we will end up in a civil war, at the very least.

This is only the beginning of the constitutional crisis. Slavery is back, and the Trump administration is setting up to consolidate the executive power.
