As marriage, motherhood, widowhood, and unexpected love reshape her future, she discovers that following every rule cannot protect her from heartbreak. Inspired by the true lives of the author’s family, Lizzie’s Oath explores resilience, sisterhood, grief, and the quiet courage required to begin again. Readers who enjoy emotionally rich, character-driven historical fiction by authors such as Lisa Wingate, Kristin Hannah, and Diane Chamberlain may find much to love in Lizzie’s story.
