I felt bad for Steve Mills once. It lasted about four seconds.
It was Nov. 10, 2019. After a 21-point loss to Cleveland, James Dolan demanded that Mills and general manager Scott Perry have an emergency press conference and explain that the front office wasn’t happy with the team. It was maybe the cringest moment in Dolan’s ownership. And that’s saying a lot.
So with the news breaking today that Mills has officially left the board of the Knicks and will move his “talents” to the New York Rangers, it made me want to go back in his solid tenure.
