With Jesus

If someone watched the way you lived today...

Would they know you’ve been with Jesus?

Not because of the verses you can quote.

Not because of the church you attend.

Not because of the title you carry.

But because they see Him reflected in you.

Acts 4 tells us that Peter and John stood before the religious leaders with remarkable boldness.

These weren’t scholars.

They hadn’t received formal religious training.

They were ordinary men. Yet something about them was unmistakable. Scripture says,

“The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13 NLT).

That sentence stops me every time.

Every time.

This Scripture does NOT highlight what Peter and John had done...

It does not highlight how much Scripture they knew…

It did not point them out as “hard working,” “perfect,” or any other title or assumption we may conclude.

This Scripture reveals exactly where their boldness came from….

They had been with Jesus.

Time in His presence had transformed ordinary people into extraordinary witnesses.

The same is true for us.

The goal of our morning rhythm isn’t simply to read another chapter of Scripture or check another devotional off the list.

It’s to be with Jesus.

Because when you’re with Him, you begin to look like Him.

You begin to love like Him. You respond with His peace. You carry His wisdom. You walk in His confidence. His presence changes everything.

People may not remember every word you say today.

But they’ll remember how you made them feel.

They’ll remember your kindness.

Your patience.

Your peace.

Your joy.

Your courage.

The greatest testimony you carry isn’t what you know about Jesus.

It’s whether people can tell you’ve been with Him.

Alignment isn’t about becoming more impressive, it’s about becoming more like Christ.

Spend time with Him. Align with His truth.

Then carry His presence everywhere you go.
