Wandering through the dAda mUse museum, taking in Salvador Dali’s art, his presence, spread throughout two floors of a beautiful, historic Launceston building, was an enamouring experience.
I have felt Dali reaching out to me for weeks now. Months, even.
I knew a Dali Scribe Session was coming, and I also knew I was being asked to centre myself amongst his work to channel the session. So here I am, hanging out in my local Dali museum after a wonderful, soul-enriching walk in nature with my best friend.
I’ve been so curious about this building for years, having driven past it on my way to work and seeing its colourful and curious signage every day. I had no idea this place was a museum, and certainly didn’t know it was a museum in honour of Dali.
Full disclosure: I know nothing about Dali. Didn’t even know he existed until earlier this year. And I kind of like it that way, because I know that whatever comes through me from him is unaffected by my own bias and/or prior knowledge.
I say bias, because I did see a quick snippet of old Dali footage a few weeks ago that didn’t sit well with me. His character oozed eccentric entitlement and control. I have not an issue at all with the eccentric nature, but take strong issue with entitlement and control of any kind.
I now find this perspective of mine fascinating, because the very essence of what I feel when I am with his art is the absolute opposite… I sense freedom.
I feel that I am able to hold neutral towards that fleetingly-experienced opposing side of his. I feel that I am able to tune into his true nature – through this conversation with his soul. I am excited for this! He is certainly one of the more colourful humans I have ever had the privilege of channelling for a Writer-in-Spirit Scribe Session for the creative collective. (Yes! Dali was also a literary lover and prolific writer.) All prior nerves have faded. Here we go!...
My advice to anyone who experiences one of my Scribe Sessions is always… breathe, and feel your way through it intuitively. Treat it as you would any healing experience – give yourself the time and space to immerse yourself in the words and the energy naturally, without rushing and without distractions. Please always receive that which resonates, and leave the rest. You are in full autonomy and personal power, always.
I hope you enjoy this Writer-in-Spirit Scribe Session, channelling Salvador Dali…

We are everything and nothing.
Nothing and everything.
We are the space in between.
What happens when a soul inhabits a body?
I know this to be true:
There is nothing ever as mundane as the human form.
But equally, and intrinsically, the human form is an enigma of the world in which we navigate this wild thing called ‘life’.
In my own human form, I sketched, I contemplated, I inquisited, I disrupted.
I did all that I could to challenge the meaning of life
Because I knew meaning was nothing.
I did all that I could to escape the confines of my human form
To explore ultraverses and megaverses
To touch the very edges of existence.
What is it to be human?
Mortal
Flesh and bones
A mind so vast it doesn’t ever fit the skull, but we try.
We try to confine.
To conform.
To contort and mould and flex within the flow
Within the flow.
How does a soul fit in a body?
The answer is simple:
It doesn’t
It can’t
It mustn’t
There is no ‘fitting into’ anything
Nothing fits.
Everything is free.
You are free
I am most certainly free!
What will you do with your freedom?
This is not a trick question.

As I sat with his energy and essence, I could feel his personal conflict with the experience of a soul inhabiting a body. Perhaps even a little bit of resistance? But with this, I also felt his curiosity to explore the notion. His exploration of the human form in all its expressions – emotional, sexual, physiological, visceral, relational, and so much more – never quite quenched his thirst in that lifetime. He is going deeper into his explorations and fascinations in spirit.
His soul feels like the kind of soul that is never easily satisfied. Nor does he want to be.
There is so much in his Scribe Session for us all!
Do with this Scribe Session what you will. If there are particular words that stand out to you, reflect on them in your own way because those words want to help you and take you deeper into their magic.
And if you would like to receive your very own Scribe Session – poetic words straight from your own soul to heal and inspire you – reach out any time. This commission-style artistry of mine is changing the lives of writers, one divine word at a time.
And keep an eye out for more Writer-in-Spirit Scribe Sessions for the creative collective! (Charlie Chaplin popped in during a Stellar Journeys session a couple of weeks ago. He tells me it’s his turn next! Or you might like to check out my Marilyn Scribe Session if you’re keen for more healing words now.) x
