A large part of my job as a musician is learning. When you’re playing in a band, the worst thing you can do, in my opinion, is not learn your parts before a session or a rehearsal.
Rehearsals aren’t for learning the parts, they are for fine-tuning, creating cohesiveness or possibly re-arranging.
This kind of rehearsal not only improves your ability to focus on playing together whilst performing, it also allows the opportunity for improvisation where needed. The same goes for optimizing performance in any kind of of pursuit but especially on the golf course.
If you have sharpened your tools adequately, it allows you to commit your attention entirely to course management and adjusting for changing conditions.
So how do we learn effectively in order maximize on all of that practice.
