From the Louvre to the Bon Marché, New York to Nice: Sophie in Paris is officially out now

Our new book, Sophie in Paris, is officially out now.

Today was the day that we dropped the last pre-ordered envelope in the mail, and sent the final box out to a bookshop. This project took way longer than the others for lots of boring reasons we won’t even get into, so we’re REALLY glad this wave has reached the shore.

As long term listeners will know, hand-delivering our self-published children’s books around Paris is one of our greatest pleasures. And this time around included some unexpected treats: Did you know we’ll be taking over the entire store front window of Smith and Son on rue de Rivoli for the whole month of August!!??

If you’re new around here, I think you might like to hear some of these delivery stories, like taking our books to the basement of the Louvre, or to the top of the Bon Marché department store.

Or, if you’re REALLY new around here, I should add that I’m talking about the fifth children’s book that I wrote (in English), and that my wife Lina illustrated - Sophie in Paris. It went wild on Kickstarter and it’s about a brave little girl who saves the day at the Eiffel Tower.

We also mentioned that the book is now on sale in Nice (Massena Around the World), New York City (French Wink), Fontainebleau (Reelbooks) and even Davidson, North Carolina (Main Street Books). Maybe other US bookshops want it? Anyone got any ins?

And remember if you can’t find them in a store, we ship worldwide from our online shop here. And it’s even cheaper for people in the US, as we have stock in Nebraska and Ohio, so postage is cheaper!
