(Mariblock) - The Nigerian capital market regulator says “Any member of the investing public dealing with the entity is doing so at his/her own risk.”
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Nigeria has warned the public regarding the operations of Binance Nigeria Limited, which the commission says is soliciting Nigerians “to trade crypto assets on its various web and mobile-enabled platforms.”
While it’s glaring that the SEC notice targets the global cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Mariblock can reveal that the entity addressed in the publication — Binance Nigeria Limited — is unaffiliated with the entity operating Binance.com.
A Binance spokesperson told Mariblock:
“We are aware of the circular. However, the entity mentioned in the circular [Binance Nigeria Limited] is not affiliated with us. We are therefore seeking clarity from the Nigerian SEC and remain committed to working with them cooperatively on the next steps.
Most importantly, we want to remind users that their assets on Binance are safe, accessible and secure. Our greatest priority will always be to deliver for our users.”

(News24) - NFT stands for non-fungible token, and this incredible initiative that started as an internet hobby has quickly taken the world by storm. An NFT is a unique digital identifier that cannot be exchanged or replicated. Similar to the way bitcoins are bought and sold, the token is a form and unit of cryptocurrency on a blockchain.
In the past, we saw things such as the sale of digital art and music on the blockchain, but now Euphoric Leisure is expanding the horizons of the platform with their Pangolin Collection NFT. Minting just 111 exclusive and unique NFTs, this initiative will give NFT owners lifetime access to travel perks and long-term returns.
“We’ve been a professional holiday rental company with a national portfolio for a long time,” said Dean McLuckie, the founder of Euphoric Leisure.
We wanted to make short-term rentals an absolute breeze, and we have been rebranding for a while. We’ve just created the Pangolin Club, which gave way to the Pangolin Collection and this brilliant idea to expand our portfolio into the tech space.
The inception of the Pangolin Collection initiative came in 2017, when McLuckie first heard about NFTs, having been active in the cryptocurrency industry since 2015.

Decentralized wireless (DeWi) network operator World Mobile said on June 8 it has completed field tests of its DeWi technology in Kenya, Mozambique and Nigeria, bringing it closer to a full rollout across the African continent.
World Mobile, which aims to offer affordable and reliable internet access to rural areas that are traditionally underserved, said the tests in Kenya and Mozambique were carried out using TV white space equipment, employing an unused spectrum in the TV broadcast band to provide mobile network services.
In Nigeria, the field test utilized SpaceX’s satellite internet system, Starlink. According to the company, both TV white space and Starlink are complementary technologies that enable World Mobile to employ existing infrastructure and spectrum resources to expand its network coverage.
