Hey friends,

So I am a HUGE tea person and today I’m sharing five healing teas I’ve become obsessed with over the years!

I’ve been making these on rotation for a longggg time. Some are cozy, some are for when I’m feeling a little run down, and a couple have some really interesting benefits behind them that I can’t wait to tell you about.

Let’s start with my current favorite -

  1. Hibiscus Chia Seed Tea

This is the one I have multiple times a week before bed. I steep dried hibiscus, a cinnamon stick (I use Ceylon cinnamon - it’s a more gentle cinnamon), and some fresh ginger with the skin on. Then I add chia seeds.

I know - chia seeds in a hot drink sounds a little strange! But the heat doesn’t destroy the benefits at all (don’t worry), and if it weirds you out you can always add them in after the drink cools a bit. Such a great source of fiber + omega-3s.

And the hibiscus itself is rich in antioxidants, and it’s been studied for supporting healthy blood pressure. Plus it turn your tea this gorgeous deep ruby color and has a bright, tart, almost cranberry-like taste. I love it.

The Ceylon cinnamon helps support healthy blood sugar (and adds antioxidants). Fresh ginger soothes digestion and brings anti-inflammatory benefits.

  1. Saffron Golden Milk

Now I know this one is technically not considered a tea, but I had to put it in here because I loveeeeee it. It’s one of my all-time favorites - such a cozy drink, especially when I’m feeling a little run down.

In a small pot I warm up coconut milk (about a cup), fresh grated ginger, turmeric, a crack of black pepper, a little dollop of coconut oil, and 3 to 4 saffron threads. Warm it gently - do NOT boil it - and that’s your golden milk!

Turmeric is one of the most researched anti-inflammatory compounds we have, and the black pepper is non-negotiable - it contains piperine (which dramatically boosts how much of that turmeric your body can absorb).

Ginger is soothing + warming, the coconut milk and oil give you healthy fats (which also help your body absorb the turmeric), and the saffron adds a little mood boost (more on saffron in a sec!).

Feels like a warm hug in a mug.

The rest of the teas (the recipes + benefits) are just below for my upgraded subscribers - including a heart-healthy tea, my go-to when I’m feeling under the weather, and a simple tea with some impressive research behind it for mood, stress, and anxiety.

Plus, you get a downloadable guide with all five recipes - ready to save, print, and keep in your kitchen.
