WIN THE VINYL STAMPER FOR AS WE ONCE WERE
Here at Anchoress HQ we’re always thinking of unique ways to thank you for your support of the music, and with the new album out next week, we wanted to do something extra special. Thanks to the ingenuity of Ian at Last Night From Glasgow, I think you’ll agree this is one mind-blowing prize.
We’re giving away the vinyl stampers used in the pressing of As We Once Were to two lucky fans who’ve preordered the album.*
For those wondering what on earth a vinyl stamper is and what you’d even do with one: it’s a thin metal plate, usually nickel, used in a hydraulic press to stamp the grooves onto vinyl at the pressing plant. Two stampers (one for Side A, one for Side B) are required per record, and each one typically wears out after pressing 600 to 2,000 copies.
So we have two of these silver beauties to give away. All you need to do is preorder the album, in any format, from either The Anchoress Bandcamp or directly from Last Night From Glasgow before release day, Friday 7th August.

A random number generator will then pick two winners: one from LNFG customers, one from Anchoress Bandcamp customers, each receiving a piece of musical history.
What you do with it then — frame it, use it as a frisbee, try and set up your own guerrilla record pressing plant — is entirely up to you!
The album is available on 2LP leopard print etched vinyl, 14 track gatefold CD, ltd edition deluxe 2CD media book (with 16 bonus tracks) , and ltd cassette tape album (in orange and pink). *If you’ve already preordered the album prior to today, you’re automatically entered into the draw.
