Halfway through this week, my Boone vacation turned into a last-minute flight to Utah. I was only planning to stay for two days, but ended up staying five. You’ll see what I wore the first few days, but the rest of the trip (and what wearing the same three things for five days taught me) is coming in Vol. 4.
Direct links to shop the exact items are below each photo. If you want to save something for later without losing the links, LTK is the easiest way I’ve found to do that. And, it’ll notify you if something goes on sale, which is a feature I love. But, you can always find all of my outfits on ShopMy too.
This dress was gifted for a potential partnership and it fills a gap in my closet I didn’t know I had: what to wear for dressing up when I don’t feel like dressing up. This will be perfect for girls nights, date night, etc when I don’t want to wear heels and feel overdone, but it could easily be dressed up even more. Pictures don’t do it justice, so watch the video - it’s so flattering. (No surprise since this brand makes the best white tee as well.)
I’m almost regretting buying this in pale yellow since it’s about to feel out of season but I’ve worn it every single week since I got it, so I’ve gotten my money’s worth this summer, and I’ll pull it out again in early spring next year. I’ll probably buy it in Cilantro green for the fall (it comes in about two dozen colors.)
It’s beyond soft and this brand might be the only brand of athleisure I’ve ever truly loved.
Tank Top + Matching shorts - wearing a size small in both; probably could have done an XS in the top.
Bra - by far my favorite
Sneakers - I’m wearing a size 7 - I always go up a half size in sneakers.
Earrings (huggies) + earrings (studs) + Bracelet- my most worn combo these days.
I’ve really been liking pants lately, which is not super agreeable with August weather in the South. I’ve had these pants for years and often wear them when I fly, but I don’t know why I’ve never thought to wear them for golf, especially since women’s golf pants are notoriously unflattering. I’ll never buy golf pants again - these are the ones.
Top (old and OOS, but the brand makes the best women’s golf clothes)
Sneakers - I debated buying these for years and wish I’d bought them sooner.
Bikini top + bottoms - the only two-piece I’ve loved since having kids. I recommend sizing up if you're in between sizes. (I have a full review of Left on Friday too.)
Coverup - works well for a casual dress on vacation too!
Sun hat - gifted and I’m in LOVE
Sandals - remember when I said I hate flip flops? I take it back.
Sunglasses - by far my most worn pair
Again, I’m sick of shorts, but wearing something other than blue makes it feel fresh.
Shorts - size down if you’re on the fence. I have a 26 and they’re really loose.
Tee - wearing a small. I like this tee enough, but like this one better for a similar shape that’s less sheer (and it’s cheaper).
Sandals (TTS) - I like them but they definitely have a breaking in period, so keep that in mind if you like to walk a lot in your sandals like I do.
I was inspired by Merrick and wore a dress when flying, and I feel like I unlocked a new level in life. It was so comfortable and I didn’t get hot or cold. (I refuse to fly in shorts in the summer - it grosses me out). I got so many compliments too!
Dress - super pricey but it’s the dress I wore most this summer and I know I’ll wear it for years to come.
Shoes - Vejas run in European sizing. I wear a US 6.5/7 and always get a size 37.
Suitcase - Away luggage dupe that is 99% as good (and is even better in some ways)
Travel tote - I use this thing all the time (it’s what I always take to Boone)
I was only planning to stay two days in Utah last week, so I only packed two outfits + the dress I flew in. When I extended my trip, I ended up wearing the same thing over and over and just mixing and matching and was perfectly happy with that.
Top - the BEST Amazon find. I have a size small.
Shorts - I’m wearing a size 27 - I bought them when postpartum and would probably buy a 26 now but I never mind denim shorts being loose.
Looking back at this week, I learned that I actually love flip-flops now, that shopping for one thing in mind (i.e., golf pants) limited me from finding the best item, and that flying in a dress is actually just as comfortable as lounge pants — and infinitely cuter.
So, the next time you fly - try wearing a dress and let me know what you think. :) And tell me: what's a personal style rule you have?
