David Keeler · Taskflow Tuesday

This is issue #67 of Taskflow Tuesday, where I share 3 things that can help you to get digitally organized so that you can spend more time on what truly matters.

You’ve heard it before. You know how to do it.

But you’ve stopped and now is the perfect time to pick it back up.

Time Blocking.

It’s so simple and so effective.

The same way writing crystalizes and clarifies your thoughts, Time Blocking reveals your priorities while giving you a plan for executing them.

It eliminates distractions. It forces you to be realistic about your limits.

It gives you a record of what you worked on each day. It’s an all in one.

Take some time today or tomorrow and time block your day or your week.

If you already time block, then audit it. What’s not working? How can you fix it?

If you can’t figure out the answers to those questions, reply to this email and I’ll try to help if I can.

A change in environment can do wonders for your focus and productivity.

When I have a new/large project I need to work on and I can feel myself procrastinating, I will check out a new coffee shop - even if I have to drive an hour.

I order a cappuccino, find the corner seat, and lock in.

Try it sometime this month and enjoy!

  1. Close out the year

    • Audit and review your year

      • What worked?, What didn’t work?, What did you accomplish?

      • Clean out your closet

      • Clean out desk and paperwork

      • Digital Detox - Inbox Zero

    • Write hand written Thank You letters

    • Life Blender Exercise

      • Rate your happiness in all of life right now from 1-10

      • Identify the areas that are low

      • Work on those areas in the next year

  2. Design Your Year

    • Misogi: Do 1 big year defining thing every year.

    • Kevin’s Rule: Take 6 mini adventure’s every year (most of this can be free/cheap)

    • Winning Habit: Instead of resolutions, add 1 winning habit each quarter

  3. Plan Out Your Year

    • Put your plan on a calendar

    • Selling his calendar product lol (it’s cool tho)
