• March 11: Bodies Meet Music Workshop with Maitri Music Therapy Nepal & Mayis Rukel, at 2 pm, registration required

Visit Taragaon to take a step back into the past and enjoy our ongoing exhibition: Archiving for The Future. With glimpses of Bhaktapur, Mustang, Bungmati and the lives of people in various places of Nepal, you get to see the tales of old. Curated by Veeranganakumari Solanki and Sujan Chitrakar, join us as we explore Nepal all over again.

1 object, 1 artist, 1 big idea

Curated by Roshan Mishra, the 9th edition of Object in Focus brings you Bādal by Sanjeep Maharjan.

Bādal is a series of ceramics and sculptures that came to ‘be’ as a physical representation of the movement of water element and its cycle of renewal. The forms created are dedicated to the grace, free flow and the quality of continuity that the water element beholds. These minimal organic forms subtly embody the story of a mind that finds harmony and solace as it interacts with water.

Leafing Around Taragaon invites participants to explore and discover the various plants and trees thriving in our surroundings, specifically at Taragaon Next. This program falls under one of Taragaon’s pillars: urbanization. It encourages students to think critically about the significance of conserving our environment and nature while building a sense of mindfulness.

Similarly, this program fosters students’ understanding of our natural surroundings so that we understand its importance resulting in respect and appreciation for the environment. Participants will also learn the significance of having parks, open spaces, and forests in large urban sprawls. In this interactive activity, students will identify different plants around the site, learning their names and understanding their uses.

Movement and Music are both deeply intertwined to the human experience. In his movie, Movement Song, Mayıs Rukel explores movement and sound through various artistic decisions. Movement and music are both part of self expression and healing. Maitri Music Therapy Nepal, the organizers of this workshop, help bring both these aspects together as a way to reconnect with things that make us innately human.

Roshan Mishra hosts Tin Dirdamal for our first Coffee With A Curator.

About Tin: Self-taught filmmaker and unorthodox editor. Born 165 kilometers south of the US-Mexico border with formal studies in engineering. He measures the success of his fi lms by how much of himself he’s able to abandon in the process. Also self- taught in psychology and architecture, his most useful tools are doubt and contradiction.

“Project Panauti-2025” celebrates the intersection of heritage, creativity, and contemporary design thinking. Conceived as a final-year integrated campaign design by a group of emerging artists and designers, the project reimagines how local culture can be communicated to a global audience through innovative visual storytelling.

Rooted in the historic town of Panauti, one of Nepal’s most culturally layered and architecturally rich settlements, the project is a tribute to its timelessness: the ancient temples, streets, the traditional Newar architectures, and the serene natural surroundings. The campaign not only documents these elements but transforms them into a dynamic visual narrative that bridges the past and the present.

Shabdakiri Saajh is an open literary platform dedicated to celebrating stories, poetry, and emerging voices, every evening on the first Saturday of every Nepali month at 3 pm.
