Hello!
I had a pretty incredible few days in California last week! I went out and met up with Chaz and Patrick for a night of Fuubutsushi live music. Chaz and I also played some moves from our recent duo album Shelter on AKP. It was super nourishing and powerful and exhausting. The incredible Max Jaffe played with us for a good chunk of the set too! Check out Max’s new record. We also got to celebrate Patrick and Amber and their announcement that they are expecting a baby later this year! It was a really special and very cute and nesty few days.
Chaz loves to swim. It is important to him. It is a thing that I benefit from because I love to be near water, and going on adventures with Chaz means there will be water.
We ended up going to 1000 steps beach in the Laguna area and it was also a deeply nourishing and powerful thing. I can’t remember the last time I was in the ocean... I’ve always been more of a lake guy. Chaz and I kept talking about how we want to play music like how the water moves through a crop of stones on a shore.
Some pics from a great few days here…
Though the show on the 16th is sold out, I can’t recommend enough that you try to make it to see Windy & Carl on the 17th at the Bug Theater in Denver. Carl and Andrew are opening! We are really fortunate to have them out this far west, and they don’t plan to come out again any time soon!

The Lafayette Electronic Art Festival is a legacy series doing really exciting programming. This is their 10 year anniversary! I am thrilled to share the bill on May 28th with the one and only Ka Baird.

That’s all from me here today. I have about 30 plants we started in the greenhouse that are ready to go into the garden beds! See ya later!
For now, from the tall grass.
