May and June!

Hello! It is May 1st, which means we are almost past the last frost date here in Colorado. For now, most of the garden stays in pots and trays in the greenhouse slowly growing in their tiny microclimate until we can get them plugged into the dirt! Those microgreens up above are almost ready to eat though!!

Below is a very cut and dry “here is what is going on in the M. Sage multiverse” post. Some shows coming up, some records you could buy today on bandcamp, some photos, some very brief musings.

I’ve been in the practice of practicing a lot again lately. Approaching the keyboards like an apparatus onto which I can feel my physical limits post-surgery as I, in some ways, relearn how to use my right hand and some adjusted anatomy in my shoulder. Getting shoulder surgery definitely impacted my ability to play, and I have been digging in on physical therapy and practicing practicing practicing for a slew of shows coming up! They start a week from today in Los Angeles! Below, find a collection of graphics for said shows.

It is bandcamp friday, and that means music can be listened to.

I have a new album out a few weeks ago with Chaz Prymek called “Shelter” on AKP Recordings. It is a bromance record for the end of empires.

Earlier this year I put out a very long version of a song from my album “Tender / Wading” on RVNG intl. This pasture suite makes a fine companion for a long walk in May.

I also made a run of jewel case CDs of my album “Lux Collapsing” because… I felt like it! You can order one of those here and listen to it in your car while you drive through a landscape.

Sometimes I slowly stroll through an idea here and share deep thoughts and essays, but today is more just a kind of “brass tacks” ordeal. I am really excited to get out in the world and play music in front of people again, and I hope to see you in the next few weeks in CA and CO! Hopefully I can swing more shows out Midwest and East later this year ;)

Now, I am back to the keyboards to practice!
