weekly wrap: vol 22

WHAT A WEEK IT HAS BEEN.

It’s hard to believe that it has been a full week since Taylor Swift released her new album because I already know all the words and am bopping to it daily. This album is FUN, effervescent, and so poppy — I absolutely love it. I’ve ignored all the negativity online over this album and I think people (on both sides, Swifties and the folklore/evermore stans) need to touch grass. It’s not that serious. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, then don’t listen to it?

• TLOAS release party/movie was SO good. I am a very lyric-emotionally-driven kind of person so to have her explain each and every song and the meanings behind it made me appreciate the song and album so much more. You can interpret them however you want, but seeing all the ways people have interpreted the songs really washed it out for me so I was glad to see the movie. The music video is epic and watching the BTS was so fun.

• On top of the release party, later that evening, I went to the Stardew Valley: Symphony of Seasons concert! My friend & I had bought the tickets over a year ago and that was when I was really into the game. I swore when we bought the tickets that there was no way I wouldn’t be into the game this year. Ha, it’s not that I’m not into the game anymore; I think I just needed a break after dumping so many hours into it. The concert was great though and brought up so many happy memories of the game. It was a nice little revival of the game for me.

• I’ve been really into gemstone jewelry lately. When I was younger, I loved gemstones and I received a gemstone book from my parents and I memorized all the birthstones for each month. Looking back on it, this completely tracks with my OCD and makes me believe I definitely had it as a kid. I was so obsessive over it and made sure everyone knew. Anyway, I’m trying to buy some loose stones so I can create my own custom ring. I love the teal sapphires and the sage green sapphires, along with the cornflower blue topaz. I recently purchased this GORGEOUS morganite and diamond rose gold ring at auction with the most beautiful intricate art deco halo. I’m obsessed with it and can’t wait to wear it out as a right hand ring/statement piece.

• I LOVE smash burgers. The crispy edges, thin patties, sign me up! We went to try Jon’s Joint last weekend and it did NOT disappoint. I am craving a burger and fries right now.

• I know I haven’t posted about my September reads, but I’m going to do a combo September and October post because I haven’t been reading as much, however, I’m currently reading a fanfic and I’m SO into it.

• This Dramione collection is magnificent in all the ways.

• So I recently decided to buy a weighted blanket because I do love heavy blankets on top of me while sleeping but to my surprise, every morning, the weighted blanket would literally be off of me and in the middle of the bed, lol…so I guess I don’t like heavy blankets that much? Anyway, kind of disappointed, but also saved money?
