Developers are buzzing about “Projecting React,” with Tanner Linsley experimenting with AI to rewrite the React API into a tiny 9KB runtime that outperforms the original. Overall, it feels like the dev community is finally moving past “heavy” framework defaults to embrace tools like Astro and headless commerce that strip away the “integration tax” and boilerplate and templates we’ve been stuck with for years (on that note, Crystallize👍leads the way - link below).

As for AI hype, it’s all about the “Agentic Summer” right now, with Anthropic’s 2026 Developer Conference completely stealing the show by announcing “Dreaming” agents that actually learn from their own mistakes between sessions. There’s a massive debate between the Model Context Protocol (MCP) crowd and the new Skills framework, essentially deciding whether we want a “USB-C for AI” standard or a more deterministic way to enforce agents to follow production rules like TDD. It feels like we finally hit the inflection point where AI isn’t just writing code snippets anymore, but actually acting like a senior engineer who remembers your architectural decisions across the entire project.

In marketing, the focus has lately shifted from general SEO to “AI Visibility,” with everyone trying to figure out how to get cited by LLMs rather than just rank on results pages. There’s a big shift toward “Brand Vibes” and cultural resonance over dry data, essentially proving that being specific and building a real community are the only ways to survive the consensus gap. Basically, if your content doesn’t have a unique perspective or a “festival vibe,” the AI agents are just going to skim right over you.

Happy reading.
