Mathy Kathy is what I call my cousin, Kathleen Heide Vanderwall. She has a doctorate from Cambridge. She and her husband, Peter Peter Vanderwall created Mac’s Big Wish: A Children’s Book about the Power of Friendship. Their book won the 2024 Patricia Gallagher Children’s Choice Picture Book Award, sponsored by the Oregon State Literacy Association. Over 12,000 school children voted for it as their favorite among five nominees during the school year.

Special thanks to Rick and Renee Wilson, Andrew Wilson, and more Wilsons. I met Breck and Cathy Wilson from Oak Street Church for coffee on Wednesday. As far as we know, the Oregon Wilson’s are not related to the Florida Wilson. It would be difficult to say which of these two lovely couples is lovelier. Please settle that however Wilsons settle things. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
