Hello from Lake Tahoe! We’re on our annual family adventure trip, which is always a great way to close out summer before the hectic school year gets underway. It’s gorgeous here and so far I’ve even been able to enjoy the beautiful scenery without worrying about being eaten by a bear. (Kind of.)
READING: I just started Dolly All the Time, by Annabel Monaghan. It’s a never-would-happen-in-a-million-years-but-still-fun-to-read-about love story. (Did I just create a new category?)
LISTENING: Yep, I’m still the 19th juror in the Lindsay Clancy trial. This trial is exposing just how broken our healthcare system is, especially when it comes to postpartum care.
WATCHING: We watched The Dink with Jake Johnson last night. It’s funny-ish and the kids loved it. It’s predictable and definitely not a cinematic classic, but it’s heartwarming, even if it’s a bit outlandish.

Who needs a cover up when you have a closet full of button downs? Been wearing these sweatshorts nonstop. So easy and comfy. My bestie gifted me this adorable tote for my birthday and it’s perfect in every way. (Thanks, Amanda!)
Cozied up for a nighttime walk last night. My cardigan is on sale! I’ve had it for years. It’s oversized, which means if your family wants to go for a walk to get dessert at 8pm you can throw it on and you don’t need to put on a bra. (You’re welcome.)
ON THE SOBER MOM LIFE PODCAST: I chatted with USA Today best-selling author Kerri Maher about her new book, Summer of Love, and about the difference community can make in sobriety.
SOBER FOR GOOD: I had to share my thoughts on the Lindsay Clancy trial, especially after her psychiatrist testified she wasn’t concerned about Lindsay’s drinking because “she wasn’t an alcoholic.” So damn dangerous.
I’LL RUIN ALCOHOL FOR YOU: Your friendship. There’s a big difference between drinking buddies and true friends. Sobriety reveals it.
