Hello and happy Sunday!

How is it already August? I can’t believe it. I’m holding onto this last month of summer as much as I can. We have a more laidback week this week, which is welcome after the past few weeks. I see some naps and puzzles and a few good workouts in my future. And of course, as much time under the sun at the pool as the weather allows.

Have a wonderful week!

WATCHING: I’ve been following the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. As someone with OCD who struggled intensely with postpartum OCD and terrifying intrusive thoughts after the birth of my first daughter, I feel very strongly about this case. More on that soon if I can bring myself to write more about it.

For something lighter, I listened to my friend Courtney who told me to watch Married at First Sight on Peacock. If you need a new show, watch this one. It’s SO good.

READING: Just started The Things We Keep by Sally Hepworth. (Yes I’m basically working my way through all of her books.) It’s about a young women who has early onset Alzheimer’s. I just love her characters.

LISTENING: The Prosecutor’s episodes on The Lindsay Clancy trial. I like hearing their take on trials.

Yes, I’m still sharing my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finds because how are these still in stock? If you’re looking for fall finds on sale, here are my picks:

Levi’s faux shearling trucker jacket - I have and LOVE a previous version of this jacket and scooped up this updated version! It will be on repeat all fall.

Rag & Bone cropped trench coat - This is so much cuter in person! I’ve been looking for a cropped trench and haven’t found one I love until this one. It’s a bit oversized so size down if you’re in between.

So far, these black booties are the best selling item I’ve shared! You have great taste. They’re timeless.

The magnifying mirror I use every single day.

“I'm about five months sober and I find myself feeling angry more than I did when I was drinking. I snap at my kids over nothing and then feel terrible. I thought getting sober was supposed to make me calmer and better, not turn me into someone who loses it so easily. Is this sobriety?" — M.

You ask, I answer. Comment or reply to this email. I’ll choose one to answer next week.💛 The rest of my answer to this week’s reader question is for paid subscribers.
