This post is part of Off the Roof: Living the Transits Through Midlife, a series for paid subscribers, where I write from inside Human Design transits as they’re happening, through my own chart, in real time.
THE TRANSIT From August 11th through the 17th, the Sun moves through Gate 4, in the Ajna center. Gate 4 pairs with Gate 63 to form the Channel of Logic, the channel of potentiality.
In the Gene Keys tradition, its shadow is Intolerance and its gift is Understanding, the difference between grabbing the first answer that quiets the doubt and actually sitting with what makes sense.
WHERE IT LANDS IN MY CHART
Since I don’t have Gate 4 defined in my chart, this transit connects to my defined Gate 63 to compete the Channel of Logic. This also brings me the experience of feeling like I have defined head and Ajna centers.
In my Human Design chart, the Head center is undefined with only Gate 63 defined, hanging there without its channel partner most of the year. An open Head center takes in everyone else’s questions along with my own, and Gate 63 keeps that doubt circulating without ever settling: the same questions turning over and over, with no reliable place for them to land.
When Gate 4 transits, the 63-4 channel completes the Channel of Logic. My open Head suddenly has a direct line to the part of the mind that produces possible answers. It’s not that the doubt disappears, and it’s not that I arrive at some final truth. It’s that the questions finally have somewhere to go. It’s that my questions have somewhere to land, at least for a while, instead of just swirling around my mind.
This is what I’ll be exploring as this transit progresses.
