Busy morning. It’s a warehouse day; haven’t even been outside yet but I can see the sun shining down on my pomegranate gazebos. The pomegranate tree is beginning to grow outside the gazebo, but my certified native landscaper will put a stop to that next week!

Staying busy creates a certain amount of stuff and then to have a certain amount of stuff there needs to be organization! An endless circle. In my case the Zen Brush classes I teach require me to have - not only my own gear - but supplies for class and for new students. I suppose when I get even older and even more stream lined I will not even offer a brush to a new student - they can get their own. But I’m starting again, post covid, to rebuild a class that I once taught for many, many years. And so I make it easy to join, to come brush with me. It is going very well too.

And so warehouse days are mainly organizing for the next weekend of workshops, making sure we have everything tucked into the “class boxes” so we don’t end up at the classroom without the needed supplies. It is another once a month thing that I do, as are the two workshops I teach: once a month. But that’s three once a month things and so they do add up. If I thought about this any longer I’m sure I could come up with more. But I enjoy the process of creating a workshop.

In fact, I usually make up a new otehon (lesson plan) for each workshop. I don’t reallly need to as I have many otehon from my past workshops. But my brushwork has changed since then and I can make better ones, and so I do: there’s probably another day then to add to the monthly routine.

Well, time to go! Looking forward to a swim on my return.
