The day started with high hopes and a gentle, late beginning.
A walk into town to buy a present for my mother-in-law’s birthday felt like a small but special quest.
Knowing we were going to visit her in the hospital made the gift wrapping slower.
By the evening, everything shifted. Worry crept in, and the yellow wanted to toned down, turning toward browns.
It feels like an in-between time of waiting, taking it day by day.
The middle pot speaks for today: painting and waiting, and find joy right where we are.
