Is there any compassion left?

This is a leaked letter purportedly sent by personal aide and diaper-changer Natalie Harp to her boss, the raping felon.

It’s all over the interwebs and yes, I read it. This is the kind of missive that alarmed the Secret Service during the campaign and if you’ve studied psychology a little (having watched “Fatal Attraction” counts), you can see why.

So. Is this for real? Is this woman so enamored of such a disgusting pig that she’s put ON PAPER that she sometimes forgets to eat and sleep? Is she a sad woman loaded down with daddy issues? Is she a spy, sent to unearth state secrets that the raping felon cheerfully shares on social media, anyway? Is this a serious mental health issue, and those of us trained to go in for the kill should maybe sheath our knives?

Or is this one more shitty person in a shitty administration who deserves whatever public shaming she gets?

Or is it a little bit of all of that?

(Can a person be a little bit of a spy? Yeah? No.)

I am so sick of these people, So. Very. Sick. And the larger part of me wants to see some random loose string like Natalie Harp bring the whole thing down — but I have retained enough humanity to wonder at what cost that will be for this actual woman and I’m mad at myself over that.

I don’t know Harp. I couldn’t pick her out of a lineup, but at this point in my craven observations, if this is the loose strand that will unravel this administration, let’s pull it for all it’s worth.

But is there a way to do that without destroying Harp? Good luck to her. God, I hate it when I can’t bring myself to kick a puppy.
