If there is one thing I’ve learned over a long career writing about and sharing fashion trends is that I long ago stopped staying: “oh, I’ll never wear that trend again”. The times I may have uttered those words or even held inside thoughts about a trend are times that have come back to bite me on the bum … because I invariably end up not only wearing said trend but become quite evangelical about it.
Enter stage left: capri pants.
I’m old enough to have seen capri pants cycle through the fashion zeitgeist about three-four times, possibly five. Have I indulged at every return? No. This time around (and mark my words they will be everywhere in the coming spring-summer), there’s just something about how they’re being styled that appeals to me. I feel it’s my love of contrasting something with a slim silhouette back with something more relaxed.
Yet. I still thought I would be returning these dissh capri pants after ordering and receiving them.
Narrator: She did not return them. She promptly fell in love with their comfy stretchy ways and immediately styled four ways she’d be wearing them on warmer days.
Shop the pants and the looks HERE. I’m 166cm but there is a shorter version coming soon for anyone shorter than I am or wants a shorter capri look.
And to the woman who told me we need to look like Elle Macpherson to wear them, I say poo-poo. Wear them or don’t wear them because you love or don’t love a capri but please can we let go of the BS we were brought up with that told us we could only wear something if we looked a certain way. Enough already.

I’ve been writing about and sharing beauty products for 25 years. If you’re in your peri and menopausal years, keeping your skin hydrated is key to keeping your skin calm. Wrinkles Schminkles re-usable 100% medical grade silicone patches applied to clean skin work to hydrate while you’re sleeping.
You can use the patches as often as you’d like as part of your skincare routine. I use about once a week, much like an overnight mask or with the eye masks, while at my desk for a couple of hours before an event.

Yes underwire! This is seriously the bra for you if you’ve ever been in a love-hate relationship with an underwire bra. Not only does this Nala bra bring the uplift we ask of an underwire, this is not a bra you will want to rip off at the end of the day. It’s THAT comfortable. Plus, you have just the right amount of padding for a smooth line under tees and tops, so it looks great on too.
