We’re officially in knitwear season. That I live in Queensland and own so many knits is probably cause for concern but hear me out. Despite what you might think, it still gets cold here. Yes, it’s rarely cold all day but the hours from sundown to sunrise can be on the frosty side. Plus, I live in a wonderful timber Queenslander home. It’s fantastic in summer for keeping us cool but in winter it’s an icebox, through which a winter wind loves to blast.

Now that I’ve got the weather chat out of the way, let’s get down to the business of finding good knitwear. I’m VERY fussy about the composition of my knitwear and how it feels on the skin. My preference is for a 100% natural fibres or majority natural fibre in a blend. But a 100% natural fibre composition doesn’t always equal a non-itchy and scratchy scenario. When it comes to building and curating a collection of knits, FEEL is absolutely my most important consideration.

The thickness of my knitwear counts too, not just for warmth but for how it is able to be layered or worn with other pieces in my winter wardrobe.

Here’s a snapshot of knitwear I’m loving right now.
