Mirage is an Autobot super spy, but he was not always that way. In Generation One, he was a wealthy Transformer living on Cybertron, drafted into a war he wanted no part of. However, when Optimus Prime recruited him to the crew of the Ark, he went willingly and even stopped Megatron on his first mission.
Since that time, Mirage has had several variants that show his talent and skill at sabotaging the Decepticons.
