We all have deep seated memories with strong associated emotions that stay with us forever. I don't mean typical life milestones or times of intense happiness or sadness. I refer to older memories, often so fleeting yet specific, formed when we are young. They feel critically important, yet the more we analyze them the less sense they make. Logically these moments are distant and inconsequential now that we are old and wise. But still they resurface in our minds and in our dreams. Regret?
