Hi! It is an exciting week here, and I can’t wait to share all the updates with you!

Finally, every bit of the STAR reading plans are on this Substack site! You can find the reading plans by Cycle:

or by Subject:

If you’re new here, or you don’t understand how these reading plans work, make sure to read Whole Family Homeschooling, Flexible Reading Plans, and How Will You Spend Your School Days, and Scheduling Your School Days.

Teach Them Diligently in Pigeon Forge is THIS Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! I’ll be at booth 746—please come say “hi!” if you’re there!

I’m speaking on Friday at 4 pm in North 2, and the topic is:

Homeschooling a Child Who Fights It: Are your perfect homeschool schedules being thwarted by bad moods, arguing, or disobedience? Be encouraged, mama, you can do this! Come hear some tips from a seasoned mom who has lived “in the trenches” and has a lot of wisdom to share. Don’t give up on homeschooling altogether before you’ve heard this session!

I’m also speaking on Saturday at 3, in Greenbriar A, and the topic is:

Stop the Stress! Creating a Peaceful Homeschool Environment: "If your homeschool days are stressful, hectic, and you feel like you’re tied to an impossible curriculum checklist, please come to this session for encouragement. Brenda Scott is an adoptive mom, has been a foster mom, and has homeschooled for twenty years. She’s faced a lot of challenges in achieving a peaceful homeschool environment over the years, and she will be sharing some of the things she has learned along the way.

I’ve shared this speech at Teach Them Diligently Ohio last year & in Pigeon Forge a couple of years ago, and you can find the slides and information here.

The Exhibit Hall Hours are:

  • Thursday 7 pm-9 pm

  • Friday 10:30 am-7 pm

  • Saturday 10:30 am-6 pm

At my booth, I’m going to have the following items:

Everything at the conference and in the online store is 20% off with the code TTD2026.

There is a lot of good free information here! You can find book lists for every subject and schedules for Bible reading & Hymns for FREE! That’s so cool! If you’d like to see the reading schedules for any subject besides Bible & Hymns, you will need to become a paid subscriber for $5/mo. Feel free to check it out for one month and see what you think & unsubscribe if it isn’t for you.

That is all I have for today! Watch for the slides & information for my speech “Homeschooling a Child Who Fights It,” because that is coming soon!

Blessings!

Brenda Scott
