• New Spark Space: We have successfully moved into our new headquarters at Marienpark, Berlin — bringing together our office space, in‑house laboratory, and pilot hall under one roof. This consolidation marks an important step in strengthening collaboration, accelerating development, and supporting our continued growth.

• RWGS Pilot Milestones: Within its first months of operation, our RWGS pilot has already reached key milestones. These include demonstrating flexible operation, achieving ultra‑high CO₂‑to‑CO conversion rates, and surpassing 200+ hours of continuous CO production — further validating the robustness of our technology.

• Full Value Chain Simulation: We developed a comprehensive end‑to‑end simulation of Spark’s full e‑fuel process, and are benchmarking against conventional pathways. With the results we will further validate our cost‑reduction potential.

• Digital Twin Update: Leveraging data from our pilot plant, we further refined our digital twin. The model shows strong alignment with observed dynamic plant behavior and is already proving valuable for advanced testing and scale‑up planning.

• New High‑Pressure Lab Setup: We made solid progress on a second lab setup designed for higher‑pressure operation. This will enable faster testing across a broader range of conditions, further accelerating our technology development.

• Integrated RWGS x FT Operation: We are preparing to couple our RWGS pilot with our research partner’s FT system for integrated operation by mid‑summer. In parallel, a standalone FT campaign is already underway — marking an important step toward validating the full process chain.

• Demo Plant Development: We continued advancing our industrial e‑fuel demonstrator by refining the concept, bill of materials, and cost estimates. We also developed concrete project concepts in two European countries and have submitted grant applications with strong partners.

• Techno‑Economic & Flexibility Modelling: We further advanced our TEA modelling and introduced a new tool to quantify the value of combining flexible production with large‑scale (cavern) storage. Results indicate that our flexible e‑fuel process can contribute to reducing hydrogen costs through optimized storage integration.

• Grant Funding: We’re excited to share that our “CO Pro” project has been approved for funding by IBB and the State of Berlin, co‑financed by the European Union. This strong backing underscores the relevance of our work in enabling flexible and reliable CO/syngas production.

  

• Defense & Energy Resilience Market Study: In light of ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, e‑fuels are gaining increasing relevance for defense and energy resilience applications. We have begun engaging with players in this space to further explore the market. If you are aware of suitable partners or projects, we welcome you to get in touch!

• New Space & Celebration: Following the consolidation of our office and lab facilities under one roof, we celebrated this milestone with an office & lab warming together with friends and family. It was a great opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us along our journey.

• Team Growth: We are excited to welcome Avi Mittal as our new Founder’s Associate. With a background in business and experience in deep‑tech startups, he is already driving forward our operational excellence initiatives.

• Operational Scale‑Up: As part of our preparation for team growth, we have started implementing AI agents to streamline and automate core processes. These efforts are already unlocking meaningful efficiency gains across the organization.
