I’ve always been fascinated by audio erotica, and long wanted to record my short stories. So I’m delighted to present my first production, a performance of A Walk in the Park.
I wanted to go beyond the bland emotionless diction of the “Read Aloud” option, so I chose this story deliberately. It features a character who is slightly out of breath, and I wanted to record a performance that captured what synthetic speech misses, the excitement of the moment, and the urgency that comes from physical exertion. I didn’t want it to sound like a studio reading, I wanted it to be like you’re receiving a phone call from a friend who’s being playfully pursued.
