Trenton Chase Pardue · SPACES OF MY DREAMS

I love stuff. Furniture, art, books, textiles, ceramics, things picked up while traveling—I like a home that feels collected and lived in, and I’m usually much more attracted to interiors that have layers than ones that have been stripped completely bare. Which makes my love of John Pawson a little unexpected.

Pawson is one of those designers I’m constantly saving and coming back to, not because I necessarily want my home to look like one of his, but because I like the way his work makes me think about my own. His spaces make me want to edit. They make me look at what’s already in a room before deciding what else to add. And, most importantly, they remind me that the architecture itself can be the decoration.
