As living aspects of our living world, we are not separate from our Mother. As conscious aspects of the single conscious being that we are, we are not separate from God (our Father). We are one — because all is one.

Separation is an illusion.

An illusion is something that deceives you and isn’t real. Reality (that which is real) is that which functions. This means that reality is that which can be well or ill. While you may like what isn’t real, you can only love what is real. People, plants, animals, buildings, machines, organizations, ecosystems, communities, societies, and planets are real because they function, meaning that they do something in the present moment.

Things that can’t function are things like stories, ideas, concepts, perceptions, options, possibilities, shapes, and plans because they don’t do anything on their own. Things that can’t function are simply information. Information exists because it is useful — and it is useful because it is used by reality. The use of information is equivalent to how reality (in the form of computer hardware) uses information (such as computer software and data streams) to determine how to function.

In the same way that your fingers are not separate from your body, you are not separate from the whole of existence. We are not separate from each other. We are not separate from our world. The only thing that truly distinguishes “them” from “us” are our ideas of separation.

Separation is an illusion that your mind uses to make reality seem simpler than it is and easier for you to interact with.

The process that you use to mentally separate things into different parts is called “analysis”, the opposite of which is called “synthesis”. Synthesis is what your mind uses to combine and join different parts together. As mental processes, both analysis and synthesis mentally manipulate information, which isn’t real, in order to make real things easier to interact with while experiencing our deeply intertwined existence.

Ceasing our separation happens when we free ourselves of the illusion of separation. To free ourselves of the illusion of separation is not to stop using it but rather to stop believing that it is real1.

When you come to accept that separation is an illusion of the mind, what you are left with is the state of reality. The state of reality, the state of the universal computational system that allows you to consciously experience your human existence, is what is known as “truth”. This is why truth can be experienced from different perspectives and aligned with in different ways — but can never be contained by thought.

In reality, creating wellness for all requires us to love what is real rather than be fixated on what is not real. It is by ceasing our separation that we are then able to integrate the truth of our unity into our real lives and heal our real world.

Optical illusions provide examples of mental illusions that are especially easy to understand as being unreal. The following image is sourced from Clker-Free-Vector-Images on Pixabay.com.
