The lines between bad guys and good guys have always been blurred on soaps, and especially on General Hospital, where a mobster who murdered in cold blood as recently as two years ago has been the town hero for decades. But the good bad guys skate and other bad guys get what they deserve and even a little more than they deserve.

Or maybe the good bad guys get to live under lock and key luxury and even turn over new leaves, so they get to skate for the sake of story. And the other bad guys? They get to go to jail where they can start mischief. As Kai summed up during his epic take-down of Willow this week: Trina's dad gets 10 years for punching a guy and she gets estate living. Now, how is that fair? Well, if it entertains us...

Kai Has His Say

This entertained us. Kai Taylor had his chance to read that little wench Willow Tait for filth and he took it. And oh how wondrous it was. We will get to more with Willow later, but this was the highlight of the week for us. First, Kai pointed out something Willow doesn't quite grasp. Normal people don't shoot their husbands in the back twice to get out of a sticky situation and then go on to Congress (well, the Congress part; one never knows in 2026 where anything goes).

But further than that, Trina's dad just got 10 years for what was essentially a bar brawl and Willow is now unpacking her kids' toys in her old modern home on a big old modern estate. For shooting a sitting congressman. Twice. (Kai doesn't even know the part about keeping him in a paralytic state for six months.) And Curtis? Well, maybe he deserves it, maybe he doesn't, but we think this will be fun.

Curtis is in Jail

Curtis did not deserve 10 years, but Curtis did need to be brought down a peg or two just from his arrogance alone. How many more times did we have to hear him say "my child"? Yes, we know who won the race when Portia had multiple trysts last fall, but enough.

So, we are happy Curtis is now in Pentonville for several reasons. First, we know it won't be 10 years or even two years and Curtis will be out in a few months because this is a soap and this is the way these things go (unless you are Nikolas Cassadine and lock a pregnant teenager in a tower for a few months). But Curtis also needed this wake-up call...or at least what we hope will be a wake-up call.

Plus, we get Curtis and Sidwell in Pentonville at the same time when Jordan will be working with Drew, a man who Sidwell helped keep in a paralytic state and now wants his assets. How delightful because Sidwell is delightful, as we learned when some bad guys go to jail and some get to go legit...

"In Compliance With the Law"

Sidwell is in jail for doing some pretty bad, bad things, but Jason and Sonny? They're just selling coffee, playing softball, and maybe even working for ELQ (or with Valentin?). That's right. After decades of criming, Jason and Sonny are done . They're legit now and got away with everything. Isn't life grand?

And we just have to accept it. It wasn't lost on us how arrogant Sonny was as he gloated to Sidwell that he deserved to be behind bars just as much, as did Jason. They are criminals and have skirted the law for the last 30 years. But we love them so we want them on the outside navigating "civilian" life. Cause we're here to be entertained and something else is going to certainly entertain us...

Willow at the Gatehouse

Willow's presence on the estate is already entertaining Chase to such an extent that he had to help her unpack all morning, sweaty and shirtless and saw nothing at all wrong with this. Nope, he couldn't run up to the main house for a shirt. He had to just stand there half-naked with his ex-wife, sporting her short shorts while his current wife watched. Because this is Chase and at this point, we just have to accept it. He's not very bright and that is that.

The real heat is going to come from Michael. Willow is there for a reason and it's not a cheap plot point one-night stand with Chase. It's to see if Millow 2.0 can work better than Millow 1.0. We think it can because the characters aren't bland anymore.

Drew and Ava?

How many more meetings can Drew and Ava take at either the Metro Court pool or the Metro Court Gardens to talk about how they want to bring down Sonny for...no really, why? Because Sonny and Ava just had an argument over nothing, as they always do and Sonny hasn't paid Drew the time of day in years.

Sorry, but this new vendetta they have against Sonny makes absolutely no sense and feels like GH needed something to do with Ava when Ethan didn't work out, so they stuck her with Drew. Because something doesn't smell right here and we hope we don't have to put up with it for long.

Addled Anna

Can we speed this Anna buys land on a mountain to kidnap Britt story up because there is nothing enjoyable about watching our favorite badass super spy out of her mind all year, because that is all this has been since January. We missed her. We wanted our old Anna back, but then we got this.

With Peter August, no less. This cannot be said enough. Never, ever bring hate-to-hate characters back when the entire fandom celebrated his death across social media platforms. Even as hallucinations. It can never end well.

Blabbermouth Josslyn Back in Action

Josslyn never, ever, ever stops talking | Image: ABC

The mouth that roared? Well, it roared some more this week. "Hey, new guy who came out of nowhere and told me I am CEO of a company, wanna know all about these people who I guess are my friends and everything about their new adopted baby. And Godfather Jason, are you on a date? Well, sorry, your girlfriend sucks even though she saved my life multiple times while risking hers."

That's our Josslyn, always yammering and always blunt.

But we're not quite sure what to think of Jason's reaction to Josslyn's news about Britt. We like Jason and Britt, but something seems very off about what is happening between them now and we're not sure where this might be headed, if anywhere at all.

Oh, Ric

Dante and Elizabeth are cute. Ric and Elizabeth are cute. But Elizabeth looks like she is enjoying being an empty nester (does Aidan still live there?) with absolutely no obligations, who can enjoy her time with both of these men and just be happy for the first time in her life. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Of course, one of those men is Ric, so it will be a problem. He means well, but...yeah, it's always a problem. Still, a girl can dream, right?

Till next week, Scoopers, when teens do some crazy things and "civilian" life gets complicated for our two former mobsters...
