BIG week for my fellow SJM readers...
HOW excited are we that we FINALLY have not one, but two ACOTAR titles and covers?! I don’t know about you, but the second those titles (and covers) dropped, my entire TikTok feed became theory after theory, and now I’m officially losing it.
Here’s my dilemma: I still have two Crescent City books to finish, and after watching approximately 987 TikTok videos (give or take) I’m convinced I need to reread ACOTAR before the next books come out. Suddenly I’m questioning everything I thought I remembered. Who said what? Which clues did I miss? Do I actually remember Silver Flames, or have I just convinced myself that I do?
Please tell me I’m not the only one considering an entire Sarah J. Maas reread.
In other completely unrelated news, I’m STILL on my quest to find the perfect pair of jeans. Three pairs have officially been a no-go. HOWEVER, I have two more arriving tomorrow, and I’m planning a trip to Nordstrom this afternoon, so I’m refusing to give up just yet. I’m almost considering finding a stylist to help style me.
My biggest complaint? You absolutely cannot shop by size alone anymore. One pair was at least two sizes too big, another was still way too long, even in the short length. The Quince jeans were also too long, but I actually loved the fit everywhere else, so I’m thinking they might be worth getting tailored. I’ll keep you posted because I know I’m not the only one on the hunt for jeans that actually fit.
We’re also finally tackling some landscaping in our backyard. By “we,” I mean my husband is doing the actual work while I stand there saying, “What if we put hydrangeas there?” We’re removing the bushes along the back of the house, and my dream is to replace them with a row of Limelight hydrangeas. Right now, the backyard is one giant work in progress, but I can’t wait to show you the before-and-afters as everything starts coming together.
Slowly making my way through Book 2 in the series... while simultaneously wondering if I need to stop everything and reread ACOTAR. (I first read this series starting in 2019!!)
Fantasy has reminded me why I fell in love with reading in the first place. It takes me longer to get through than a typical romance, but when I'm invested, I become invested.

I’m about 35% into this one and really enjoying it. It’s the story of Rose, a woman who takes a memory-erasing pill, and Landon, the man she once loved. I’m purposely avoiding reading too much about this story because I don’t want spoilers, but I’m definitely invested in seeing where this story goes. So many people recommended this one, I sort of went into it blindly.

I randomly needed a pool book because I forgot to download Crescent City to my Kindle (rookie mistake), so I grabbed this one from Kindle Unlimited. So far it’s exactly what I wanted….an easy, breezy summer romance that’s perfect for reading by the pool.

I finally finished it, and I’m happy to report that I loved it! I still preferred the book (don’t I always?) but I thought it was a really well-done adaptation. Also... who’s ready to plan our own Five-Star Weekend in Nantucket? (Peacock)
I wish we got more adaptations like this one!!!
It’s back! I forgot how much I missed this show. It’s funny, comforting, and somehow still manages to tackle heavier topics in such a thoughtful way. (AppleTV)
I only made it through the first episode before life got in the way, but I’m already intrigued enough that I’m excited to jump back in. (Prime)
Beauty has taken a bit of a backseat this week…..
That said, I cannot stop using Lush Sticky Dates. The body scrub (and body wash!) smells like warm vanilla and caramel, and I’m fully embracing my goal of smelling like dessert. This is perfect for those of us who love a gourmand fragrance.
The Lindsey Clancy case. I honestly don’t even have the words. The more I’ve learned, the more heartbroken I’ve become. We have failed so many mothers.
Duolingo. Day 169 and the streak must live on.
Blueberry Pie Overnight Oats. Absolutely delicious and super easy to prepare.
Chobani Protein Flip (Pomegranate Pistachio Chocolate). My current grocery store obsession.
Kirkland Organic Creamy Peanut Butter. Store it upside down. You’re welcome.
Floating in the pool with a good book. (Even though it’s been SO HOT)
The excitement of TWO new SJM books
Penelope being freshly groomed (honestly, she’s so soft)
Not feeling bad about putting myself first
My Iced Latte in the mornings
Soft pajamas and fresh, clean sheets
What’s one thing you’re currently hyper fixated on? A book? A snack? A TV show? A beauty product? Comment and let me know!
Wishing you a week full of good books, little joys, and maybe even a pair of jeans that actually fits.
See you next week!
