My makeup bag philosophy: if it lives in here, it’s because I trust it.

If there’s one place that tells the truth about my beauty routine, it’s this bag. Sure, my vanity is packed with things I love “testing” (occupational hazard) but only a handful have earned a permanent spot in my everyday rotation: the ones I reach for without thinking, the ones that get tossed in before every trip, the ones that have proven themselves over and over.

So today, I’m giving you a peek inside.

EADEM Sunsuede Daily Sunscreen and Blurring Primer

Why it’s in my bag: I love a product that multitasks, and this one delivers — smooths, blurs, and gives me SPF 50 before makeup even goes on. Genuinely impressed.

Simply Stine Rating: A great two-in-one product

Why it’s in my bag: Budget beauty continues to impress me. If I know it’s going to be a hot, humid, long kind of day, this is the primer I reach for because my makeup genuinely stays put, and a little goes a long way. Apply it, let it sit until your skin feels tacky, then move on to the rest of your base.

Simply Stine Rating: Under $15 favorite

This has quietly become one of my most-used complexion products. It gives me enough coverage to even out my skin while still looking like...my skin. Most importantly? This is Georgia heat and humidity approved.

Simply Stine Rating: Fantastic for coverage and SPF protection

Looking through my makeup bag made me realize just how much my routine has changed. These days, I’m much more of a skin tint girl than a full-coverage foundation girl. That said, if there’s one foundation I’d happily make room for in my travel bag, it’s my Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation Stick. It’s one of those products I trust without hesitation.

Once my base is on, these are the products that bring my complexion back to life.

Why it’s in my bag: Creamy. Never muddy. Blends in seconds. This is the bronzer I reach for most often because it’s incredibly forgiving and gives my skin that soft, natural warmth without looking heavy.

If you’re looking for a drugstore alternative, I’ve also been really impressed with the Milani Cheek Kiss Bronzer in the shade Hey Honey. It blends beautifully, wears well throughout the day, and is a fantastic option if you’re shopping on a budget.

Simply Stine Rating: Never lets me down

Why it’s in my bag: This blush formula is fantastic! I find it to be long-lasting even on hot, humid days. It’s easy to blend and there is a gorgeous color selection. I own several shades, which might be the biggest compliment I can give a blush.

Want to save some $$$? The e.l.f. Putty Blush is also a great option!

Simply Stine Rating: A great cream blush option

Why it’s in my bag: Rhode Pocket Blush in Tan Lines has been one of my favorite recent beauty discoveries. I love the creamy formula, but it’s the shade that really won me over — it gives me a beautiful flush while adding just enough warmth that I can simplify my routine. Plus, the compact packaging makes it an easy product to throw in my makeup bag for travel.

Simply Stine Rating: An amazing multitasking product

Why it’s in my bag: If I had to pick one cream eyeshadow to keep in my makeup bag, this would be it. I reach for Sandstone almost every time I do my makeup because it’s the perfect shade for evening out my eyelids and creating a smooth base before I add any other shadows.

The formula is what really sold me. It’s creamy, blends effortlessly, and (most importantly) it doesn’t crease on me throughout the day. I’ve been using it almost like an eye primer, just with a little more polish. On busy mornings, I’ll even wear it on its own for a simple, put-together look.

Bonus: Mario recently announced shimmer shades are joining the lineup, and I already have a feeling a few of those are going to find their way into my makeup bag too.

Simply Stine Rating: Perfection

Not every product has been in my routine for years. These are a few newer additions that impressed me enough to earn a spot almost immediately.

I wear the shade Pebble

Why it’s in my bag: I know it’s still relatively new to me, but I had to include it because I’ve been reaching for it constantly since it arrived. Overall, I’ve been very impressed with Rhode products in general. I think the formula blends effortlessly, gives a beautiful natural warmth to the skin, and has quickly become one of the products I grab more and more. (I took this on my last trip and didn’t have a single regret)

One thing I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I do is the packaging. It’s lightweight and doesn’t feel bulky in my makeup bag, which makes it perfect for traveling. When you’re trying to pack light, little details like that really matter.

Simply Stine Rating: Travel-Friendly Favorite

Armani Beauty Eye Tint in shade Sparkle

Why it’s in my bag: Yes, these are definitely a splurge, but let me justify the price tag for a moment.

The shade Sparkle is hands down one of the most beautiful shimmer eyeshadows I’ve ever used. It has the prettiest soft undertone that catches the light without looking overly glittery. It’s the kind of shadow that instantly makes your eyes look polished with very little effort.

I actually discovered this shade after seeing my friend Hannah wearing it. I immediately asked what she had on because it was that pretty. Of course, by the time I went to order it, it was sold out everywhere. As soon as it came back in stock, I snagged it and I’ve been wearing it ever since.

For me, this is one of those luxury beauty purchases that’s absolutely worth it.

Simply Stine Rating: Luxury at its finest (doesn’t look overly shimmery)

Beauty Tip: If you’ve been eyeing these, now is a great time. There’s currently a set that includes both Sparkle and Cashew (the perfect creamy tan shade), plus a mini mascara. Considering the Eye Tints are usually around $40 each, the set is an incredible value at $62. Shop the set before the anniversary sale ends.

If a lip product graduates from my makeup bag to my purse, you know it’s become part of my everyday routine. Whether I need hydration, a little color before running out the door, or something I can apply without a mirror, these are the ones I always reach for.

It’s funny how much your makeup bag can say about your routine.

A few years ago, mine would have been full of completely different products. These days, I’ve gravitated toward lightweight complexion products, cream formulas, and makeup that’s easy to apply and even easier to travel with.

These are the products that have earned their place...not because they’re new or trendy, but because they’ve consistently worked for me.

Now I want to know...

What’s one beauty product that has earned a permanent spot in your makeup bag?
