loading html from external files
among some of the changes ive been trying around here is to break some of my content into smaller, stand-alone html files. so i wrote my own little js utility called loadexternalstuff.js and documented the whole process in my dev notes . (hopefully someone someday will find these useful!)

i don't really understand what's happened, all i did was: register a domain, create an A record pointing to neocities, reconfigure neocities with the new domain... and suddenly my entire site has redirected to https://shens.world/ wtf :)

ive made loads of updates around here in the past few days: rejigged the home page (then rejigged the homepage, then rejigged the home page again) . tidied up CSS and simplified a lot of code, which i'll most likely rip apart again next time im editing ready for the next phase. added jump menus in various places. updated sitemap . moved bookmarks to their own page.
