As someone currently living in the orthodontic trenches — I can confirm that few devices strike fear like the palate expander. This article asks the question many of us are quietly wondering while turning that tiny key: do all these kids actually need one?

A Small Ritual That Keeps Me From Losing It (or proves that I already have):

After a faculty meeting yesterday, my colleague excused herself for a quick “Main Character Walk.” Naturally, I needed details.

At least once a week, she goes for a walk and pretends she’s in the resilience montage of a movie about her own life.

No AirPods. No podcast. Just dramatic internal narration.

She didn’t know it yet, but this would be the season that changed her…

No one could see it yet, but she was building something steady…

Genius. We all need a walk where we get to be the heroine for a minute.
