Mal is a creative, earth steward and material-based artist working at the intersection of ecology, culture and craft. Mal explores how living systems shape the objects we use, the structures we inhabit and the identities we carry—bridging inner life with land, design and economic systems.
She works across projects (@by___mal @theearthsource @sarisaristudio @schemaagency) building slow, intentional containers for coherence. Each project is designed to restore relationship between people, place and meaning through careful creation.
During Mal’s time in Pacentro we spent time scanning the ground for asparagi selvataci, mineral tanning hides with Francesca Farris and enjoying market mornings in Sulmona. Mal built on Francesca’s hide tanning work and designed seven purses for the first capsule collection of setteuarciate.
